We'll Understand It Better By And By

I first heard this hymn at Times Square Church, NYC in May this year.

Though the melody is cheerful yet the lyrics are not easy at all.

I cannot understand all the ways of God would lead me..

My heart is made to bleed for thoughtless words or fruitless deeds...

I wonder why the test seems never ending though I have tried all I could do.

인생이 이런 거라고... 왜 아무도 말해주지 않았지...???

Having said that, I learn from this hymn

'I will soon overcome and will tell the story,

And I will know HIM better by and by'

Trials dark on every hand, and we cannot understand all the ways of God would lead us to that blessed promised land; but he guides us with his eye, and we'll follow till we die, for we'll understand it better by and by.

Refrain: By and by, when the morning comes, when the saints of God are gathered home, we'll tell the story how we've overcome, for we'll understand it better by and by.

Temptations, hidden snares often take us unawares, and our hearts are made to bleed for a thoughtless word or deed; and we wonder why the test when we try to do our best, but we'll understand it better by and by.
